2012 marks the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. This Diamond Jubilee year is an opportunity to honour
The Queen's extraordinary dedication and service to Canada and to celebrate our country's many achievements during Her Majesty's reign.
Commemorations will be coordinated by the Office of the Commissioner and the Department of Executive & Intergovernmental Affairs, working with the Office of the
Premier and federal Department of Canadian Heritage. More information will be published at a later date.
Diamond Jubilee medal
A new commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the Throne. The Queen
Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country. At the same time, it serves to honour significant
contributions and achievements by Canadians.

Members of the general public are welcome to contact the offices of members of Parliament, senators, lieutenant governors, territorial commissioners, or provincial and
